Desso has opened a new showroom in Warsaw, in the architectural heart of the city. The opening underlines Desso's success in Poland, a result of product excellence combined with teamwork and a strong strategy.
The new showroom was officially opened last Thursday by Alexander Collot d'Escury, Chief Commercial Officer, who paid particular tribute to the hard work and professionalism of Desso's people in Poland.
The new regional office is in the city's Metropolitan Building, designed by the internationally-renowned firm of Foster Partners. The building has won several architectural awards, including the Royal Institution of British Architects (RIBA) Worldwide Award, and provides the perfect city-centre location to showcase Desso's carpet ranges.
The Metropolitan Building is on the north side of Pilsudski Square, one of the most historically important places in Warsaw, and lies close to other historical and culturally significant sites such as the Unknown Soldier's Tomb and the Grand Theatre.
"Our people in Poland have done a fantastic job in building the Desso brand and winning some great new business. Our move to this office and showroom reflects our confidence in the Polish economy, that we have the very best people - and, of course, that our product ranges and our commitment to the environment give us a competitive edge," said Alexander Collot d'Escury.
