DESSO® to participate in circular economy debate at World Economic Forum's Summer Davos in China in September

22 August 2013

Three Desso executives will be attending this year's prestigious 'Summer Davos' meeting in Dalian, China, organised by the World Economic Forum (WEF) during 11-13 September.

Alexander Collot d'Escury (CEO), Roland Jonkhoff (Managing Director) and Andrew Sibley (Regional Managing Director) will participate as delegates and speakers.

The event titled, 'Meeting the Innovation Imperative', will bring together 1,500 business, technology and political leaders from 90 countries to discuss the opportunities and challenges of innovation.

The World Economic Forum is an independent international organisation committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. Events through the year are the annual summit in Davos and also the 'summer Davos' in China.

It is the seventh WEF forum held in China since the 'Summer Davos' was launched. This year the delegates will be discussing the benefits and challenges of making the transition to the circular economy - considered increasingly by many experts as a more sustainable and restorative economic model suited to the 21st century.

As a Cradle to Cradle® practitioner of the circular economy, Desso will be involved in two key discussions on the topic, one of which will be led by CEO Alexander Collot d'Escury.
