In a world of mass-production, standardisation and efficiency, it is important to recognize that interior spaces should reflect people's need to express their own identity. TheDESSO® 'Make It Your Own' carpet collection, gives an answer to the growing demand for unique spaces with an individual atmosphere, identity and personality.
The collection consists of three distinct themes: Combining Textures, Colour Layers & Intensity and Material Effects.
As part of the Combining Textures theme, a new carpet tile range called Carved is introduced. Inspired by the chiselled textures of classic woodwork designs, Carved can be seamlessly combined with DESSO's Ridge carpet tiles to create striking installations. The second theme - Colour Layers and Intensity - offers Stitch, an intricate new carpet tile inspired by the subtle intricacies of hand-woven textiles.
Both Carved and Stitch are available in a selection of 12 colour options, enabling designers to combine texture and colour to create floor designs with a truly unique identity. The subtle colour accents in Stitch can also be used to coordinate with a company's corporate identity or with other key accents in the interior. Later this year, additional carpet tiles will be launched within the 'Colour Layers and Intensity' and 'Material Effects' themes, thereby making this collection complete.

Cradle to Cradle® Philosophy
In keeping with DESSO's Cradle to Cradle® philosophy, all products in the 'Make It Your Own collection are available with EcoBase™ backing, that is 100% recyclable in DESSO's own production process. The carpet tiles also contain 100% up-cycled chalk from local drinking water companies. DESSO is the first carpet brand in the world to use the upcycled calcium carbonate.
